It doesn’t matter who or what age you are everyone needs to relax! We can’t all afford to go on spa breaks even though there are amazing deals out there. After a busy few months I booked a ‘Me-Weekend’-cancelling all my plans with one goal in mind, relaxation. Here are a few tips for the perfect pamper session.
A bath can stimulate so many senses: smell, touch and sound. To create the perfect bath I have a few essentials.
Bubbles-a lovely smelling bubble bath will always do the trick. I love Lush so usually choose between a bath bomb or a bubble bar. Please make sure you know the difference. I once chucked a bar in mistaking it for a bath bomb. I was devastated when no joyous fizz happened!
Candles. Again these can be any scent you may desire but even just the glow can be enough to take you to that relaxing state. I love Partylite candles as they come in such a variety of scents and they burn so evenly they last such a long time.
Music or a good book. It is great to sink into the water in silence but sometimes you need to drown out the sound of noisy neighbours or a crying cat scratching at the bathroom door.
Face Masks
I love taking care of my skin and face masks are one part of that. Recently I discovered the new face mask range from The Body Shop. It’s all about multi-masking this season. We all have a general skin type but different areas of our faces require different things. Multi-masking makes use of two or more masks to really give your skin the attention it needs. I used Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask on my T-zone and for the rest of my face the Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask. My skin felt amazing after only 10 minutes! And the smells added to the pampering session. Of course if you don’t have time for a full on pamper session then these masks are perfect to pop on, wash the dishes or whatever, then wash off!

One last cheeky thing-put off the housework to tomorrow! I know I know this isn’t always possible and yes I break this rule too but at least for 30 minutes forget about it!
I like to take it one step further and make a cup of my favourite herbal tea and take it with me and my favourite book, and read by candle light.
