Caffeinated Reactions is a blog about the life and times of Sarahjane wood.

I have many strings to my bow so to speak. I am a PhD student, a keen baker, a youth leader and a self-confessed shop-a-holic.

The PhD Student:

I love science and more specifically Chemistry, got two degrees under my belt and don't want to stop there. I have a thirst for knowledge and coupled with my highly independent nature, a PhD was the obvious way to go.

The Baker:

Six years ago on a dark night I had a craving for cake. The nearby shops were closed and I don't drive...the flour was sitting in the pantry so I baked a cake to satisfy my craving. The rest as they say was history.

The Youth Leader:

I have been helping with children in my church for almost 10 years now in one way or another. It was only 3 years ago that I become a leader for The Buttercups with my responsibility and role increasing as the weeks went by. Then recently I became a Sunday School teacher for the youngest group. They are both huge parts of my life and I love it.

The Shop-a-holic:

Well what can I say? I was born to shop! If it was an Olympic sport then I would be taking home the gold.
