Did you know that 65% of people in the UK still drink instant coffee compared to 2% of people in Europe? Now I am not a coffee snob and there are some good tasting instant coffee but nothing compares to the fresh taste of roasted coffee and it doesn’t get any fresher with Blue Coffee Box.
Founded by coffee loving father and son duo Harvey and Jon Butt-Blue Coffee Box aims to provide speciality coffee to its members. Jon is an experienced entrepreneur whom during a trip to the USA he was introduced to the world of speciality coffee subscriptions. Harvey suggested starting a similar company here in the UK-helping him pay his way through university. This brought Blue Coffee Box to the world.
Based in the UK Blue Coffee Box is a subscription club for people who love coffee and want to be taken on a journey throughout the world of speciality coffee. Each blue box contains three bags of freshly roasted coffee complete with information cards about the origin and tasting notes. Every month three craft roasters are selected from the UK and the beans are hand roasted. Members can choose how their coffee is prepared: whole bean, ground for a cafetiere, drip or espresso. I chose ground for a cafetiere!
The membership costs from just £7.99 per month or if you opt for a 3, 6 or 12-month advance payment it costs a little less. It really is the perfect subscription for coffee lovers who want to expand their knowledge and discover new coffee. I was given coffee from Buenos Aires, Bolivia and Mexico. Each one tasted different but are absolutely delicious! I would share but I only have a one cup cafetiere…well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!
Harvey and Jon have been kind enough to give me and you lovely readers a coupon so you can try the amazing coffee for yourself. Just type CR518 during checkout which gives you £5 off your first Blue Coffee Box order. It can be applied to single bags, gifts or the longer subscriptions, too.
But wait there’s more!

ReplyDeleteBlue coffee Box has different countries coffee I'd never heard of before, coffee smells real not like gravy smells from shop bought coffees. Ground was my choice strength 3 I got what I asked for, resealable packets and no skimping on content also you get post cards telling you about each country who's coffee you get. Well worth it. 5 star rating from me.
