My Free Boots Beauty Haul

I love Clinique! You only have to take one glance at my blog to work that out. When I read the most recent post by TiggyPoes and Flutterbys about the Clinique Bonus Time event at Boots I had to go. If there is anything I love more than Clinique it is free Clinique products. Imagine my surprise and absolute glee to find out that there is also a Triple Points and the Big Beauty Event going on. It was like all the stars had aligned. They do say everything comes in 3's.

On a lovely sunny lunchtime in Glasgow I walked to the nearest Boots with my list of 3 Clinique products I had been waiting for bonus time to buy. Upon arrival I saw the Triple Event posters and instantly smiled. As an avid collector of a loyalty cards I do love the chance to earn more points than normal. The condition was that I had to spend £40 or more which knowing the prices of my Clinique products I was definitely meeting this requirement. I opted to buy Moisture Surge CC cream, a product I can't live without. At a price of £28 it does fall into the premium skincare category but it's not breaking the bank expensive. Here comes the most devastating news however, my shade has been discontinued! I manged to hold back the tears and found a new shade that works just as well so the world didn't quite end. I also bought Clarifying lotion number 2. I love this lotion and is part of my daily skincare routine. My flatmate also used it which is why I bought the larger 400ml bottle. It does cost £26.50 but even with two people using it it lasts a very long time. With these two items I qualified for the Bonus Gift.

All the details of what I got can be found here. The product I am so excited to try is the Pep-Start eye cream. I work long hours and my PhD can be very stressful. The effects of the exhaustion and stress always manifest around my eyes. I saw this product the last time I was Clinique shopping and it really interested me but sadly I couldn't quite afford to get it. Now I get to try it for free! The gift included everything pictured above except the chunky cherry chubby stick. To get this free I had to buy a third item. I really needed a new concealer so I bought the Airbrush Concealer in the shade neutral fair. It cost me £19 but the Clinique representative allowed me to try it and it's great. I like a very light coverage and this does that whilst still covering my blemishes.

Now to the best part! Because I bought 3 items from boots I also qualified for their Beauty Event goody bag. This was such a great surprise as i didn't know the event was taking place. As part of the event different beauty stations were offering free masterclasses. If I hadn't been on my lunch break I would have definitely stayed for some.

In the bag I got:
Diesel Only the Brave Tattoo for men, 1.2ml
Diesel Loverdose tattoo for women.1.5ml
Emporio Armani Diamonds Violet for women, 1.5ml
L'eau D'issey for men, 1.5ml
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, 1.5ml
Benefit Believe this Bronze! 0.17ml melt
Estee Lauder New Dimension Firm + Fill Eye 2 step System, 2ml
No7 Dramatic Lift Mascara , 3.5ml
St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Lotion, 50ml

I can't wait to try all of them! Except maybe the aftershave for men I will probably give them to someone who will use them and see what they think of them.

Also at Clinique is the White Ticket giveaway. These are scratch cards given to their customers in the hopes of winning a free trip to London. I scratched mine there and won a Free You-Time service. I've opted to go along and get my make up done as a little birthday treat for myself and a friend when the time comes. The ticket also includes a free extra treat so I am excited to find out what that is!

  9. Wow!!! You really went at the best time! Didn't know about this beauty event either or the white ticket - so you are winning! Although I hate it when your fave product/shade gets discontinued too.
