Craft Gin Club #5 April

This month the lovely gentlemen over at Craft Gin Club are taking us on a trip to Denmark with April’s natural gin selection. With Easter upon us this marvellous gin is sure to put a spring in your step!
April’s gin, Kongsgaard Raw Gin was inspired by nature. The gintrepreneurs responsible for this delightful gin were inspired by the trees growing in Denmark. They wanted to use everything from the roots to the leaves and the resulting list of botanicals really represent this. These include Juniper, locally-sourced apples, raw liquorice root, charred oak, coriander seed, cinnamon, galangal and whole fresh lemons. The scent of citrus oils and pine comes through beautifully and matched with a warming spiced taste this gin definitely transports you out of France where the gin is distilled into the forests of Denmark. Pair a generous measure of Kongsgaard with your desired tonic and garnish with a slice of apple or a sprig of pine…if you happen to have one handy! Oh and don’t forget a corkscrew! This particular bottle has a very unique lid.

What I received:
Kongsgaard Raw Gin 70cl
Hoogly Baked Apple Chai teabags
Anna’s Original Ginger Thins
Folkington’s Artisan Mixers Indian Tonic Water 100ml can
CHEGGS Chocolate Easter Eggs
Ginned! Magazine

I can’t wait to brew a cup of Hoogly’s tea and have a warm mug with an even warming ginger thin-it may be Springtime but I live in Glasgow so it may as well be winter! I might even treat myself to a chocolate egg or two after gym, I deserve it after all. The treats in this box really do complement each other and the gin. Perfect for Easter! Folkington’s mixers are made entirely from natural juices and botanicals making them extra special and extra tasty. The indian tonic water will pair magnificently with the naturally matured spirit.

If you want to get your hands on May’s gin then join up with Craft Gin Club you can use the code GINPALS10 to claim £10 off your first subscription. Tell them Sarahjane Wood recommended you and I will also receive a discount off my next box.

Until next time, Happy Corking Day!
